Now this is a huge event! The Perth City to Surf is one of the longest-running (pun intended) events that attracts thousands of participants each year to run or walk from the city to the beach. Everyone from professional athletes to families with strollers can take part and the whole event is vibrant and fun.

Covering the event with a production crew is quite an undertaking. Birdhouse was asked to capture the City to Surf with both video and photographic crews and we ended up with 15 cameras roaming around the entire course.

We were able to grab fantastic content…

• From the ground at each start line
• From the air with our multiple drone pilots
• At the finish line, with the medal presentations and musical entertainment

Birdhouse can handle the management of large content crews to make sure not a single important moment from the day is missed. For the City to Surf our main goal was to feature as many participants as possible and capture the size and energy of the event.
