About

The Studio School is an alternative school based in Fremantle Western Australia, focussing on a more personalised schooling approach. With lower student numbers, and more connected teaching approach – The Studio School is an incredible alternative pathway for those finding traditional schooling wanting.

Our Task

We were tasked with producing three social media videos, each for a different student. We had to capture the story of Tyla, why traditional schooling wasn’t right for her, how she came to hear about The Studio School, and how happy she has been since the switch. 

We had to use archival photos of  Tyla during her time at her old school, to help tell the story of where she came from. Tyla is also an incredible artist, so we definitely wanted to capture her strengths and where her primary focus is while at The Studio School. 

The Result

We’re incredibly pleased with the result, every aspect of this production needed to fall in line to help tell Tyla’s story. She was incredibly open with telling her story, and was very comfortable on camera (I’m sure you can tell!) which made capturing all the footage all the simpler.
